Avec ce coffret, Jérôme Lejeune poursuit cette collection de chapitres de l'Histoire de la Musique. Faisant suite au coffret consacré à la Polyphonie flamande (RIC 102), ce volume explore la musique du XVIe siècle, de Josquin Desprez à Roland de Lassus. Après toutes les tendances qui se sont développées durant le Moyen Âge, la musique de la Renaissance apparaît comme une première étape dans la construction européenne (dans le domaine de la musique !). Le modèle stylistique de Josquin Desprez est suivi par tous les compositeurs, dans tous les pays d'Europe et dans tous les domaines : la messe, le motet, tous les genres naissants de la chanson et même la musique instrumentale qui se développe de façon considérable dès le début du siècle. Le choix des illustrations sonores permet de retrouver les plus importants compositeurs du XVIe siècle, de France, d'Italie, d'Allemagne, d'Angleterre, d'Espagne et des Pays-Bas. |

Avec ce coffret, Jérôme Lejeune poursuit cette collection de chapitres de l'Histoire de la Musique. Faisant suite au coffret consacré à la Polyphonie flamande (RIC 102), ce volume explore la musique du XVIe siècle, de Josquin Desprez à Roland de Lassus. Après toutes les tendances qui se sont développées durant le Moyen Âge, la musique de la Renaissance apparaît comme une première étape dans la construction européenne (dans le domaine de la musique !). Le modèle stylistique de Josquin Desprez est suivi par tous les compositeurs, dans tous les pays d'Europe et dans tous les domaines : la messe, le motet, tous les genres naissants de la chanson et même la musique instrumentale qui se développe de façon considérable dès le début du siècle. Le choix des illustrations sonores permet de retrouver les plus importants compositeurs du XVIe siècle, de France, d'Italie, d'Allemagne, d'Angleterre, d'Espagne et des Pays-Bas. |
